Matt Umbarger

Sprint Coach

Coach Matt Umbarger is in his fifth season as an assistant with the track program working primarily with the sprinters and relay teams. He is originally from St. Joseph and continues to live there with his wife Adrienne and two sons, Logan and Landon. He attended Olivet Nazarene University where he participated in Track and Football, becoming an All-Conference Linebacker and training for the Decathlon. Matt is a member of the current record holding 4x100 and 4x200 teams at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. While his primary goal is to help athletes meet and exceed their personal goals, he hopes to one day help coach a new set of record holders at SJO.
